Respected DELEGATE,
Borrowing from an oft quoted phrase 'Veni, Vidi, Vici', we feel it appropriate to greet you with - "You came, You saw, You won."
Yes, it is YOU - the Delegate, that we had in focus right through our visualizing strategizing, budgeting and execution. Today after the success of AIOC 2024 Kolkata, on behalf of LOC of the East, we express deep gratitude and heartfelt appreciation for your presence and participation in the proceedings of this mega Conference of AIOS. Our commitment and hardwork would not have been successful without the involvement and collaboration that each of you brought. We found your optimism, spirit of sharing and generosity very inspiring. It kept us going despite many odds and helped overcome challenging situations collectively in real time.
Members of OSWB, the host state society, are always very passionate about Conferences in Kolkata and now we are joined by our colleagues from EIZOC states who are equally thrilled to have been a part of this 'Conference by the East' as we lovingly called it. And our AlOS leadership has always been a source of constant support, counsel and encouragement. We really loved the satisfying journey.
Many of us including myself, wanted to meet and greet each of you personally but that was not to be. If you have enjoyed attending the AIOC 2024 as much as we enjoyed organizing it, you will have surely carried home a part of us -the memorable moments that we created together, day after day, night after night. That will definitely have a way of bringing us closer.
Till we meet again in the next conference maybe, we will cherish your presence here-the moments that you had in AIOC 2024 Kolkata.
Warm regards,

Across the River Hooghly, one can still see signs of various European countries that had created their own unique areas, to facilitate trade through Calcutta’s Port. For those not too familiar with Bengal’s early history, a visit to the area is a real treat as one can see signs of the settlements of various European countries, along the banks of the Hooghly River. The proverbial ‘Little Europe’ by the Hooghly river still holds impressions of European culture. Rampant with historical influences of the British, the Dutch, the Danes, the Portuguese and the French, these patches of multinational interests do weave a breathtaking portrait. Across the Hooghly river, one can still see several settlements that came into existence a long time ago. An evident history of churches, cemeteries, mansions, and clock towers spells over 400 years of their presence in the Lower Ganges. The little remains of these European colonial settlements can usher you into a rich history of trade and culture. The ‘Little Europe’ or the Lower Ganges is still one of the best-kept secrets of Bengal.
